CHORUS PRODUCTIONS
1958 - 1961
Do you remember?...

In 1958, it all began - the thrills, the work, the pride and many, many wonderful performances.  Young high school students being professional, being tremendous - writing a story that will never be forgotten in the hearts of those who were there.

Friday, February 19, 1960...Opening night of "Annie Get Your Gun".  There were so many talented chorus members that year, that two chorus members were chosen for each of the lead characters.  One group starred in the evening performances and another in the matinee performance on Saturday afternoon.  Go *HERE* to see the program, which is filled with photographs of the casts, and read all about the production and the talented folks who performed in it both on and off the stage.

The great success story of the year was, without a doubt, the record of the "Fighting Tiger" band.  This year the band attained greater honors and more recognition that any other previous Pensacola High band or, for that matter, than any other PHS organization had ever achieved in the past.  Exceptional talent and superb direction combined with relentless determination and unceasing toil proved to  be the necessary ingredients to win national recognition.
